Force at a standstill of activity? Sword and Lashnakia clash! New Foreign Policy a nopesie? And this month's RP - all in the Force Flyer!
Recently, we have seen a “clash of titans” as Lashnakia and Sir Sword trader blows in the Imperial Party Discord. The argument was sparked over a bill posted by Carropia on one of the Discord’s channels where the two began arguing over Lashnakia telling Imperial Party Members to post bill ideas and bill discussions in the Imperial Party Discord. Sword told Carropia after posting the bill in the IP Discord to instead post it in the House Chambers, Lashnakia then told Carropia to just leave it here for discussion before putting it in the House Chambers. Sword then claimed that Lashnakia was “bossy” and “asserting power over others.” Sword stated that it wasn’t Lashnakia’s job to tell people what to do. The argument continues for a while so I’ll spare you the details, but I do hope that this feud between them can be ended and they can resume a friendly relationship.
This month, Force's diplomacy took a drastic turn; whether for the worse or the better is unknown. What was that turn? Enforcing drastically more strict embassy requirements, along with brand new chart listing all regions, their respective ambassadors to and from, as well as depth of relation. The controversy? The dozens of embassies closed by the former. Up from the old requirements of 25 nations and 5 WA, now, 30 nations and 3 WA is enough to qualify regions for forum embassies, while 50 nations and 10 WA is just enough to get a normal embassy. This caused both dozens of closed embassies and an assortment of enraged natives.
"Tough talk from a region that I have never heard of before and do not care one bit about.", said one native in response to the warning for embassy closure.
In a now-deleted post, the president of an embassy region remarked, "We are not one of your provinces that will do some correcting because you told us too (sic)." going on his own volition to close the embassy.
Altogether, however, I view this as a step in the right direction. Closure of perfunctory, largely useless embassies, there just for the sake of having an embassy, acts not to further diplomacy, but to pad numbers. By closing these embassies and having a smaller, more concentrated list of embassies, Force can focus on those that matter.
RP this month has been rather quiet and not much has happend expect one update which helped make the server active for a wee while. Carropia went into to some Alliance talks but nothing much can out of it. Elysium left RP to be on the RP council. Thats all for those month, thank you
