*Basileus-class First Rate: 120
The new standard heavy warship of the Imperium, the Basileus-class First Rate was designed by famed naval architect Ioannis Saldor as part of the Imperial Fleet Modernization Pact after the heavy losses and invaluable experience after the Second Krakannis War. The Basileus-class is now being built to supplement the 110-gun ships of the line and replace the 104-gun and 100-gun ships of the line on a one to one basis.
Two Basileus-class ships are currently in service, with one fitting out, another under construction and four more planned. Due to the loss of the 104-gun ship Behemoth and the rapid build-up of the Amaxian Battlefleet, two additional ships of a shortened Basileus-class have been ordered. Dubbed the Strategos-class, these ships are 110-gun warships and are expected to be built more quickly than the Basileus. More 110-gun ships may be ordered if desired.

Kraken-class First Rate: 112
The INS Kraken is a unique vessel, constructed during the Second Krakannis War as a strictly freshwater ship to operate on Lake Krakannis. The Kraken is unique in that it was designed without any gaillard decks - no forecastle, poop deck, or quarterdeck. This allowed her to have a reduced weight, while still retaining formidable firepower.

*Strategos-class First Rate: 110
A shortened variant of the Basileus-class, the Strategos-class was designed by removing a pair of guns from each gundeck and four light guns from the Gaillards. The Strategos-class was ordered to increase the production rate of new First-Rate vessels for the Imperium by reducing the size and complexity of the design. They are fairly unpopular with the fleet as a result, despite not yet being finished.

Custodian-class First Rate: 110
The old flagship class of the Imperial Battlefleet, the Custodian-class First Rate had three ships constructed to it's design. All three served with distinction. However, one, Warden, was lost in the First Krakannis War, and the lead ship Custodian was heavily damaged in the same engagement, forcing it to be scuttled. The last ship, Sentinel, continues to serve as flagship of the Occidental Fleet.

Leviathan-class First Rate: 104
Three ships are part of the Leviathan-class, constructed nearly fifty years ago. These 104-gun vessels are still tremendously powerful, yet are considered to be outgunned by the newest models of First-Rate warship. One of these ships, the Behemoth, was destroyed in battle, and another, the Goliath, was heavily damaged and is currently undergoing emergency repairs. The Leviathan-class ships are planned to be replaced as more Basileus-class ship enter service, although recent fleet losses have cast this into doubt.

A carronade weighs a third as much and used a third of the gunpowder charge as a long gun firing the same cannonball. Thus, an eight or nine-pounder long gun can be replaced by a 24-pounder carronade; a six-pounder by an 18-pounder carronade; a 12-pounder by a 36-pounder carronade; and so forth.
Due to continuous upgrades of firepower, the Imperium has established a standard cannon system.
Standard Lower Deck: 36-pounder long gun
Standard Middle Deck: 18/24-pounder long gun, 68-pounder carronade
Standard Upper Deck: 12/18-pounder long gun,
Standard Gaillard Deck: 9/12-pounder long gun, 24/36-pounder carronade
Standard Light Guns: 4/6-pounder long guns, 12/18-pounder carronades, 0.5-pounder swivel guns
Frigates only have one or two decks and the Gaillard. Heavy Frigates would carry an 18/24-pounder deck and a gaillard deck. Medium Frigates would carry a 12/18-pounder deck and a gaillard deck. Light Frigates and Post Ships would carry a single gaillard deck.
Heavy Frigate: 18/24
Medium Frigate: 12/18
Light Frigate: 8/9/12
