Beginnings of a Nation (Part 2)

Count Otto’s group reached Lake Victoria in late 1859 and went on to explore the area around what is known today as Lake of the Emperor ((irl Lake Tanganyika)) and establishes a small trade post known as Nue Thuringen at March 17 1860. There the liberals and constitutionalists of the count’s group decided to sucede in secret from the control of an ungrateful imperialistic monarch who had previously in 1849 declined the crown of the German Empire from the Parliament due to it “not being theirs to give”, this plot was kept until the exploration group had established a significant presence in the region of the Lake and declared true independence on July 27 1864 under the name of the Incorporated States of Mombata and with some small irregular volunteer forces began raiding settlements around the area no matter their allegiance
