What is bara? What is barazoku?

The term "barazoku" is Japanese for "rose tribe" was originally the name for the first magazine for gay men in Japan after World War II. The term eventually when the internet came around and became a part of most households in the west, the term "bara" came to mean media for gay men that was made for gay men by gay men or a style that depicts masculinity (muscular, fat or even men with both to be specific) regardless of the creator's ethnic background or gender.

Within the Barazoku Brotherhood, the term largely is defined as "men with a very masculine appearance whom are not straight" and the Brotherhood is a Brotherhood made up of enthusiasts and supporters to group together and share their interests without the worry of judgement of others.
