Manifesto for the December 2018 elections

The December 2018 elections are here!
Prepare to be amazed with my latest creation, the Manifesto 2.0!

Who am I?

I'm a rather "new" Assemblian who happened to be coarced into running for Senator in the September 2018 elections, and somehow won! In my time as senator I worked on my previous ideas (the first of which you can see on my dispatch page), which are now much more developed.

And I what do I propose?

Improved interaction with newer nations, via polls, contests and more: these activities are to be carried out by a Minister position that had previously existed, the Minister of Culture. The MoC's job shall be to post weekly polls on various topics (from politics to movies, literature and even your favorite type of lawnmower), organize bi-monthly inter-regional contests on writing, drawing, photography and more, and just generally making the region more interesting to new nations, showing that TLA is a very active region, even outside of Discord.

An easier job for the Minister of Media: which has always had the job to not just organize the regional newspaper, The Red Star, but to also write most articles for it, as people's interest for writing has never been too high. Hence I propose an increased number of Ministers of Media, preferably two, who shall work togheter to make every issue of TRS be published more frequently. In addition, their efforts would be greatly aided by the writing contests held by the Minister of Culture proposed earlier, which, if proved succesful, would increase interest in writing for The Red Star, further simplifying the Ministers' responsibilities.

Increased interest in roleplaying: seeing as how previous attempts to bring RP to the region have not been very succesful, I believe Assemblians with experience in RP should try to bring interest on it to newcomers, many of whom got into NationStates for that alone, but as they see that TLA is not a roleplaying region then tend to leave (or not even join in the first place). RP sounds fun for a lot of people, including me, but most of us don't even know how to start. Making a "Guide to Roleplaying" would be very easy, and ultimately could help us bring back RP to our region.

But most important of all, I proposed that we all have fun! The election period is a good time to strengthen ties with other Assemblians, practice our ability to debate and ope our minds to new and fresh ideas.
I wish good luck to every participant, and may the revolution be with you!
