The Based Dictatorship of Zarvice is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Rzekiviec Kokardovsky with an iron fist, and renowned for its closed borders, frequent executions, and avowedly heterosexual populace. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 1.151 billion Zarviceans are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vosztek. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 90.2%.

The frighteningly efficient Zarvicean economy, worth 214 trillion orskas a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, broadly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Uranium Mining. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 186,673 orskas, with the richest citizens earning 6.0 times as much as the poorest.

Infantry are nicknamed "mushrooms" because they get fed crap and are left in the dark, criminals are thrown to the falcons to repay their debt to society, signs at the border tell international drivers where they can put their cars, and the country is preparing for war. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zarvice's national animal is the falcon, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Roman Catholicism.

Zarvice is ranked 4,683^rd in the world and 1^st in The Based Union for Largest Manufacturing Sector, scoring 43,169.76 on the Gooback-Jerbs Productivity Index.
