The Confederacy of Veggiestan is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its state-planned economy, irreverence towards religion, and stringent health and safety legislation. The democratic population of 4.591 billion Veggiestanians are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The large, liberal, socially-minded, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Defense, and Education. The average income tax rate is 57.6%, and even higher for the wealthy.

Tourists from around the world come to visit the country's famous rainforests, TV shows must meet strict ethnicity quotas, and euthanasia is legal. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Veggiestan's national animal is the veggie fish, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans.

Veggiestan is ranked 57,342^nd in the world and 117^th in The Transitionists for Most Rebellious Youth, scoring zero on the Stark-Dean Displacement Index.
