New Article to the Constitution


On 23 November 2021, Senior Senator from Springville district Kayla Horton, proposed a bill that would add a new article to the Constitution named 'Public Holidays' The bill would establish certain days in which offices in the United States of dictators would get holidays to celebrate events that took place in that specific day. The bill is as follows:

Article IX Public Holidays

a) Flags Day will be observed on 19th January.
b) Independence Day will be observed on 27th February.
c) President's Day will be observed on 7th March.
d) Senator's Day will be observed on 4th April.
e) Victory Day will be observed on 19th April.
f) Labor Day will be observed on 15th May.
g) Pride Day will be observed on 25th June.
h) Remembrance Day will be observed on 14th July.
i) Heroes Day will be observed on 8th October.
j) New Year's Day will be observed on 31st December.

Each Holidays and what they are for

The Bill entered a formal debate period of 1 month which ended on 23 December 2021, On 19 January 2022, The bill was approved by The President and Vice President and Speaker of the House, 11 February 2022 The bill was presented to the House of Representatives and The Senate. A two-thirds majority in both chambers of the Parliament would be needed for the bill to pass. On 24 February 2022, voting had ended in the Parliament with 333 seats out of the 500 seats in the House voting in favor of the bill. while 167 seats voted against the bill, meaning a two-thirds majority was achieved in the House. In the Senate, 72 out of the 100 seats had voted in favor of the bill while 34 had voted against, meaning more than two-thirds majority was achieved in the Senate. On 26 February 2022, The bill was presented to all 79 District Commissioners, a two-thirds majority vote would be needed for the bill to pass. On 14 March 2022, voting had ended with 52 districts voting in favor of the bill, and 27 districts voting against the bill. On 15 March 2022, the bill was presented to the populace. 60% of the populace would need to approve the bill in order for it to pass. If 60% was not reached, a majority would be needed for the bill to pass. On 6 April 2022, voting had ended with 394,463,000 (67%) of the populace voting in favor of the bill, and 117,855,596 (29%) of the populace voting against the bill, and 77,048,688 (13%) of the populace had not voted. Voter turnout was 512,318,596 (87%) out of an eligible 589,367,284. As a result the bill had been passed, The Speaker of the House made a formal announcement to both chambers of the Parliament on the passing of the bill, and said that the bill will be introduced to the Constitution in due time, On 8 April 2022 Article IX was written to the Constitution of the United States of dictators.
