The Republic of Uncle Earl is a gargantuan, orderly nation, ruled by The Beer Council with an iron fist, and notable for its parental licensing program, compulsory military service, and absence of drug laws. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 13.143 billion gunslingers are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Education, Defense, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Williamsburg. The average income tax rate is 46.2%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient American economy, worth 464 trillion dollars a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is broadly diversified, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Woodchip Exports, and Arms Manufacturing. Average income is 35,365 dollars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.0 times as much as the poorest.

The Beer Council is the self-declared God of all Uncle Earl, whales in captivity live in little more than glorified goldfish bowls, randomly bombing neighboring countries has become the new national sport, and roads are often attended by round-the-clock construction crews. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Uncle Earl's national animal is the orange and white cat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
