BRIEF OVERVIEW

History

The Grand Military of the Republic are the armed forces of the Democratic Republic of TyGerria. The armed forces consist of 5 service branches: the Army, Sea Wolf Mercenaries, Navy, Air Force, and National Security. The president of the Democratic Republic is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and forms military policy with the Department of Defense and the TyGerrian National Security, both federal executive departments, acting as the principal organs by which military policy is carried out.

From their inception during the TyGerrian Civil War, the Grand Military of the Republic has played a decisive role in the history of the Democratic Republic. They helped forge a sense of national unity and identity through victory in the TyGerrian Civil War, defeating the TyGerrian Empire. The National Security Act of 1947 created the modern TyGerrian military framework. The Act established the National Military Establishment, headed by the secretary of defense; and created the Grand Air Force of the Republic and the National Security Council. It was amended in 1949, renaming the National Military Establishment the Department of Defense, and merged the Department of the Army, Department of the Navy, and Department of the Air Force, into the Department of Defense.

The military budget of TyGerria was 31,861,000,000,000 in 2022 and is only increasing. The Grand Military of the Republic has significant capabilities in both defense and power projection due to its large budget, resulting in advanced and powerful technologies which enables a widespread deployment of the force across Anea. The Democratic Republic as of 2022 has about 42,180 aircraft in its military inventory.

Sea Wolf Mercenaries

Motto: "Warriors born to fight as wolves of the seas"- Uytim Ghonzago

Sea Wolf Mercenaries, a group that has been around for thousands of years. Our nation would not exist if it were not for the Sea Wolves conquering what is now known as TyGerria. These men and women fight to preserve the past and make a pathway to the future. The TyGerrian government claimed rightful ownership of the mercenary organization in 2021.

Current flag of the Sea Wolf mercenaries. Blue represents the vast ocean of opportunity, red represents a sea of our enemy's blood, and black represents the ocean's dark depths, full of wrecked ships and fallen warriors.	The Shield of the Fallen Wolf is awarded to all of those who have fallen in battle. It is given to fallen warrior's families and usually part of their grave's decorations.	Uytim Ghonzago, "Father of TyGerria" held this sword to the end. Nicknamed "Sword of TyGerria", it's kept within the "Lion's Den" (TyGerria's capitol building) behind bulletproof glass.
