The RRRC United Republic of The North Nevalia is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Secretary Kozenere with an even hand, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, smutty television, and unlimited-speed roads. The hard-nosed, devout population of 9.017 billion Nevalians are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small government is dominated by the Department of Spirituality, although Defense, Healthcare, and Education are also considered important, while Environment and Social Policy aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Boneham. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 9.5%.

The North Nevalian economy, worth 543 trillion Tenalzurias a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. Janitors and factory workers are often better educated than the bosses they work for, some say Secretary Kozenere has gone MAD after authorizing the development of apocalyptic biological weapons, a new generation of aquariumless hotels are being built under government supervision, and only AIs know why the nation is rapidly increasing its semiconductor stockpile. Crime is relatively low. The North Nevalia's national animal is the White Horse, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is Loush Christianity.
