The Armed Dictatorship of The New Michiganian State is a colossal, orderly nation, ruled by The General with an iron fist, and renowned for its flagrant waste-dumping, public floggings, and labour-free parental leave. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless population of 6.786 billion Regulars are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Law & Order, Industry, and Administration are also considered important, while Spirituality and International Aid receive no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Michigania. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 89.9%.
