The City-States and Leagues of The Land of the Ephyral is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by the Panephyrian Council with an even hand, and renowned for its smutty television, keen interest in outer space, and avowedly heterosexual populace. The hard-nosed, humorless, devout population of 17.079 billion Ephyrians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The medium-sized, corrupt government is primarily concerned with Defense, with Law & Order, Healthcare, and Education also on the agenda, while Social Policy and Welfare are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Haledon. The average income tax rate is 53.9%, and even higher for the wealthy.
