The Constitutional Monarchy of The Kingdom of Iceland is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by His Majesty King William I with an even hand, and notable for its museums and concert halls, ubiquitous missile silos, and restrictive gun laws. The hard-nosed, devout population of 2.842 billion Icelanders are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.
The large, corrupt, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Reykjavik. The average income tax rate is 80.1%, and even higher for the wealthy.
The frighteningly efficient Icelandic economy, worth 324 trillion Euros a year, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Arms Manufacturing, and Cheese Exports. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 114,335 Euros, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.
Unshaven men are viewed with suspicion in courts of law, politicians have to be granted day-release from prison to speak on bills, nobody likes bad boys any more, and twins move across the country to avoid being accused of the other's crimes. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Kingdom of Iceland's national animal is the Arctic Fox, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Catholicism.
The Kingdom of Iceland is ranked 277,803rd in the world and 2,793rd in the Pacific for Largest Timber Woodchipping Industry, scoring -5.66 on the Tasmanian Pulp Environmental Export Index.
