The Kingdom of Tai Pei is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by Taishou III with an even hand, and notable for its parental licensing program, prohibition of alcohol, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed population of 1.996 billion Tai Peians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Education, Healthcare, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Xinhai. The average income tax rate is 77.7%, and even higher for the wealthy.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Tai Pei's national animal is the Pergrine Falcon, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is State-Enforced Atheism.
