The Socialist Federal Empire of Stanni is a colossal, orderly nation, ruled by Eldrin Gremaer with an iron fist, and renowned for its smutty television, free-roaming dinosaurs, and disturbing lack of elderly people. The cynical, humorless population of 9.776 billion Stannians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, corrupt, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fides City. The average income tax rate is 79.6%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The strong Stanni economy, worth 861 trillion StCrs a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Cheese Exports. Citizens know never to accept cookies from strangers, school plays were recently banned due to concerns of child endangerment, government fact-checkers use surprising amounts of high explosive, and nobody ever seems to enter or leave the armour-plated flying castle that serves as the seat of government. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Stanni's national animal is the unicorn, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
