The flying Cities of Iteron
These cities are spread throughout the sky of the gas giant Iteron. Held by gravity and the exhausted gases of the plenty of tentacles on the lower part they are able to hover through the ypper layers of the planet.
The size is fairly small, ranging from the size being compared to New York or sometimes just Hamburg.
They are built in a circular shape for unknown reasons. The prototypes used to be more clonky and boxy. In air people would think they are flying jellyfish due to their appearance. An invisible atmosphere keeps the city save of the heavy storms roaming the planets sky.
The mutants seem to avoid the city, tho on rare occasions they fly through the citie directly over the citizens.
The people living inside the city are divided into three groups. The highest is made out of one person. The Major. His main use is to keep the city working. No matter if its night or day.
The second group or class is made out of 30% militarized infected humans. Those proceed their normal lifes but with the twist to help if ordered by the major. The last class is made out of 70% and those are the workers. Their bodies formed to be suitable for the pipes and gears and heavy machinery. They mostly are muscular and tall due to the heavy weight they gotta lift up everyday. Changing huge parts of the machine and moving pipes while keeping it in order.

The whole city has one use. Being the eye of the sky aswell as keeping the communication between the hive and the control station stable and save.
The cities itself have fairly high technology equipment while hiding in the mask of the scraps and mud to look unimportant and worthless.
