The Holy Empire of Saint Jews is a huge, orderly nation, notable for its infamous sell-swords, zero percent divorce rate, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless, devout population of 650 million Saint Jewsians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Administration, Law & Order, and Industry are also considered important, while International Aid and Social Policy are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Irkutsk. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 71.0%.

The frighteningly efficient Saint Jewsian economy, worth 88.6 trillion new shekels a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. Political speeches always take place at sunset to a background of patriotic power ballads, the Holy Office of the Inquisition is the highest court in the land, Air Saint Jews is rumored to receive more government funding than the Saint Jewsian Air Force, and the government is a law unto itself. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Saint Jews's national animal is the fox, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.
