The People's Republic of Rafezia is a huge, socially progressive nation, ruled by PM James Seymour - Labor with an even hand, and notable for its compulsory military service, irreverence towards religion, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed population of 833 million Rafezians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Education, and Welfare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Qurroka. The average income tax rate is 35.0%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The Rafezian economy, worth 38.7 trillion gerots a year, is led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Retail, Basket Weaving, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 46,470 gerots, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.0 times as much as the poorest.

Cyber-crime and tin-foil hat sales are both increasing at record rates, the nation solves other countries' human rights problems with a generous dose of violence, Rafezia has designated Qurroka as its capital city, and PM James Seymour - Labor has just been declared ruler of Rafezia in an international press conference. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Rafezia's national animal is the eagle.

Rafezia is ranked 110,312th in the world and 10th in Coalition for Collective Cooperation for Largest Governments, scoring 12.61 on the Bureaucratic Comprehensiveness Rating Scale Index.
