The News from the NS Left of R-B is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by the Editor-in-Chief with a fair hand, and notable for its complete lack of prisons, state-planned economy, and devotion to social welfare. The democratic population of 11.066 billion journalists are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The large, socially-minded, outspoken government prioritizes Welfare, with Education, Healthcare, and Spirituality also on the agenda. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of the Printing Press. The average income tax rate is 66.4%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The large but stagnant journalistic economy, worth 181 trillion ink cartridges a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, broadly diversified black market in Retail, Basket Weaving, Tourism, and Uranium Mining. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 16,367 ink cartridges, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

R-B has designated the Printing Press as its capital city, journalism has been named as R-B's national religion, and the Editor-in-Chief has just been declared ruler of R-B in an international press conference. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. R-B's national animal is the squid, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans, and its national religion is journalism.

R-B is ranked 111,255th in the world and 5th in NSLeft for Most Politically Apathetic Citizens, with 50 Whatever.
