The Agricultural Colony of Planet Triacus is a massive, pleasant nation, ruled by Jerry Freeman with an even hand, and notable for its rum-swilling pirates, barren, inhospitable landscape, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 4.831 billion Colonists have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized, corrupt government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Education, Industry, and Social Policy are also considered important, while Welfare and International Aid aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of The Starnes Exploration Party Encampment. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 18.0%.

The strong Triacusian economy, worth 315 trillion Federation Credits a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Uranium Mining, Retail, and Woodchip Exports. Crime is pervasive, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Planet Triacus's national animal is the Marauder, which is also the nation's favorite main course.
