The industrial sector is led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Tourism, Book Publishing, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is an impressive 133,927 Lopas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The aims of top-secret Penlopan science projects revolve around designing the perfect robot woman, hypochondriacs demand treatment for genetic disorders they don't have, the dessert 'Death by Chocolate' isn't the most lethal dish on the menu, and Primarius's used car is held together by bumper stickers that support the opposition. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Penlopa's national animal is the Rena, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
