The Commonwealth of Ovindien is a very large, genial nation, renowned for its free-roaming dinosaurs, punitive income tax rates, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, cynical population of 164 million Ovindienians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 73.0%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The strong Ovindienian economy, worth 9.69 trillion fyders a year, is led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Beef-Based Agriculture, Book Publishing, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 59,107 fyders, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Battlefield gains are quickly lost when enemies don't respect a time-out, minority children spend hours bussing to schools miles away from home, the dessert 'Death by Chocolate' isn't the most lethal dish on the menu, and constipated disaster survivors are rapidly learning that MRE is short for "Meal Requiring Enemas". Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ovindien's national animal is the orca.

Ovindien is ranked 200,487th in the world and 6,908th in the South Pacific for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 15,959.04 Standard Monetary Units.
