The Colony of New Krovx is a massive, orderly nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape, daily referendums, and frequent executions. The cynical population of 1.006 billion New Krovxians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 72.0%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but sluggish New Krovxian economy, worth 27.1 trillion Kovxes a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Woodchip Exports, Uranium Mining, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. Average income is 26,973 Kovxes, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Government popup ads are springing up like weeds, the only Maxxmas gift frontline troops receive from officers is a bullet with the enemy's name on it, former bars are desperately trying to re-brand themselves as cafés, and New Krovx has designated New Krovx City as its capital city. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. New Krovx's national animal is the Emu, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

New Krovx is ranked 131,156^th in the world and 4^th in Citizens Alliance of Democracy for Largest Mining Sector, scoring 1,238.12 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
