A History of The Liberosian Economy at Population 254 Million

The economy of Liberosia has seen steady growth throughout its history and started off extremely high. This is mainly due to the free market principles it adopts, although nations with large public sectors can also have large GDP's. The Confederacy adopts all forms of industry and encourages the creation of businesses so that the citizens of the Confederacy can enjoy a low level of unemployment. The Liberosian economy is comprised wholly of the Private Sector (100%).

The economy has seen dips and booms throughout its history. The dips are due, in large part, to Liberosia's involvement in the World Assembly and the anti-business legislation it passed. There was even a time when the economy lost 4 points due to legislation passed by the WA.

The economy started off thriving at 88 points and remained steady until it encountered the worst recession in Liberosian history (dropped to 86 points). After that, the economy bounced back to 90 points and continued to grow to 91, 92, and finally to a peak of 93 points. Immediately after this, the economy dropped those 3 points gained and slipped back into a recession of 90 points. The economy steadily grew again to an average of 92 points, peaking slightly at 93 points, then slipping back to 92 points. The economy, after remaining at 92 points for a while, jumped to a record 94 points, slipped to 93, and jumped back up to 94. At this point in time, the WA passed legislation and the economy saw a loss of 4 points. The economy began to rise again at 91 points, but dove to an 89 point recession, the worst since the first recession of the Confederacy. Currently, the economy is remaining steady at a 91 point growth rate. The economy has gained a net of 3 points in growth since the founding of the Confederacy.
