The Protectorate of Komodoland is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by king Sukarnoga VIII with an even hand, and renowned for its parental licensing program, multi-spousal wedding ceremonies, and keen interest in outer space. The compassionate, cheerful, devout population of 20.652 billion Komodolanders are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The government — a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, socially-minded morass — juggles the competing demands of Education, Environment, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sughkali. The average income tax rate is 98.9%.

The frighteningly efficient Komodolander economy, worth a remarkable 3,276 trillion Shirubās a year, is highly specialized and mostly made up of the Book Publishing industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 158,666 Shirubās, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

One-man canoes fitted with the latest tracking technology leave no room for one man, unpopular scientists are shunned by name, farmers have taken to hunting billionaires who encroach on their land, and citizens who use the word "Violet" incorrectly find their WhoTube content taken down. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Komodoland's national animal is the Komodo Dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Calvinism.

Komodoland is ranked 2,174th in the world and 49th in The East Pacific for Lowest Crime Rates, with 141.52 law-abiding acts per hour.
