Glorious State of Khalite
Glorious State of Khalite

DDK Overview

The DDK (Majority Party of Khalite) is the core national leadership of Khalite. The DDK is the Sulian administration that monitors the overall success, security, welfare, and progress of the Sulian Socialist Republic's various holdings and territories and makes decisions at the executive level. Its councils monitor the sociostability and polistability of the nation, disseminating instructions to the MIB, the KCA, the KSF, and all attached institutions and components of the Sulian Socialist Republic of Khalite. The Military Information Bureau (MIB) is the major oversight and national security agency (among other roles) that works for Father and the Security Council.

The leader of the DDK (and all of Khalite) is Father. All final executive decisions rest with the Prime Director. Father's formal title is Prime Director.

Filling out the ranks of the DDK's upper hierarchy (the equivalent to "Party Leaders") are members of the national Sulian councils. These councils are the...
Diplomatic Council
Military Council
Industry Council
Security Council
Science Council

The overall national agenda of the Sulian Socialist Republic is as follows; exploit natural resources to their full potential, maintain regional peace and stability, push the boundaries of science and industry for the sake of the people, advance the nation's mission of communism where possible, and protect the sovereignty of the Sulian Socialist Republic of Khalite. Khalite deeply values those other nations it considers to be close friends, and seeks to protect them from harm. Diplomacy comes first, but the DDK is willing to explore military options when diplomacy fails.

DDK Ranks & Departments

The Sulian bureaucrats of the DDK are divided into their "Departments of Assignment". They are further divided by their rank, referred to as their "Grade". A Grade is a number on an official badge that signifies the rank of a bureaucrat. The differences between Grades mark bureaucratic authority. The closer towards 0, the higher the authority. The farther away from 0, the lower the authority. For example, a Grade 20 would have more authority than a Grade 30. Bureaucrats always have two badges; their Grade and Department of Assignment. This makes it easy to tell where a Bureaucrat works, and exactly how much authority they have.

Grade Chart: The DDK's Grade ranking system is as follows:
Grade ∞ = Prime Director (Father)
Grade 1-5 = Prime Directorate
Grade 6-10 = Department Supervisors
Grade 11-15 = Department Managers
Grade 16-20 = High Office Bureaucrats
Grade 21-25 = Middle Office Bureaucrats
Grade 26-30 = Low Office Bureaucrats
Grade 31-35 = Office Clerks
Grade 36-45 = Assistant Clerks
Grade 46-60 = Cubicle Clerks
Grade 61-65 = Senior Menial Staff
Grade 66-75 = Menial Staff
Grade 76-100 = Junior Menial Staff

Departments of Assignment: The DDK directly employs Citizens in the following departments:
Prime Directorate
State Agriculture
State Banking
State Cinematography
State Education
State Law
State Media
State Telecommunications
State Genetics
State Robotics
National Welfare
National Healthcare
Public Sanitation
Public Safety
Public Energy
Civil Defense
Civil Workers Union
National Science
Foreign Relations
Public Relations
Private Industry (in dealings with certain types of foreigners)
State Industry
--and other social programs for the betterment of the nation at all levels.

In the civilian and business sectors, the DDK will provide access to certain goods and services (for a price) that offer a boost to the speed of transactions, interactions, and security. Digital innovations have become crucial to decreasing the amount of time it takes to fill out forms and streamline modern economics. Citizens are usually offered a number of personal items to make their lives easier:

  • Eye Visor- This item of apparel serves two functions; to protect eyes from sunlight, and to scroll textual data or images across the interior to present a Citizen with bulletins or reading material upon request or during emergencies.

  • ID Gloves- This item of apparel appears to be a pair of simple, sleek gloves. In fact, they contain sturdy microchips and digital nodes that allow information about the user to be transferred to a touchscreen computer in an instant. Depending upon what type of computer they access, the computer takes certain information, inferring their purpose for access based on the type of computer they are accessing. If the level of ID programmed into the gloves does not appropriately match up with the level of authority the computer requires, a user is unable to access the computer.

  • Datapad- This piece of consumer electronics is basically a government-designed smartphone. It contains special features to leave voice memos, make calls, surf the controlnet, send textual messages, and it has options to receive numerous applications.

  • Controlnet Cloud- This chip is implanted into every Eye Visor, pair of ID Gloves, and Datapad. This allows all three devices to link information together in a seamless fashion, increasing the utility of all three items.

ETHICS COMMITTEE

Father employs the Ethics Committee, an open institution of randomly selected persons whom have no choice in being chosen to serve on the committee. The Ethics Committee is a research and advisory group that analyzes the moral values and codes of other nations in an effort to minimize evil and to determine when cruelty is necessary. Members of the Ethics Committee are permitted to travel abroad, so that they may learn the nature of foreign nations firsthand so that this information can be brought back to the proper facilities of the Ethics Committee for discussion.

While visiting other countries, members of the Ethics Committee have absolutely no obligation to justify the actions of the Glorious State to those that inquire as to the nation's domestic or foreign policies. The purpose of the Ethics Committee is to learn about the moral expectations and laws within the borders of other nations so that Khalite can have a more complete picture of which nations accept which kinds of moral truths.

It is a strict policy of the Ethics Committee to always maintain stoic non-communication whenever a foreigner attempts to dig for details about the Glorious State's more controversial actions abroad.

MISSION INTELLIGENCE BUREAU

The nation of Khalite is firmly in the control of the DDK. To keep that control, the DDK utilizes the Mission Intelligence Bureau (MIB). It is a traditional and secretive institution that works above the law to protect their country of origin, the national interests of Khalite, and allies of Khalite at some times. Sometimes known as "The Commissariat", the organization is essentially a massive state security force of such scale and strength as to have many of its own base complexes-- from unobtrusive to sprawling fortresses --and legions of personnel for myriad tasks.

Father finds and employs specific agents for specific tasks. The following is a list of positions in the Commissariat held by single persons:

Father: Father, the leader in charge of the Commissariat itself.
The Editor: An anonymous agent of the Commissariat that oversees many high-priority interrogation or indoctrination sessions of various persons for whatever reason.
The Auditor: An anonymous agent of the Commissariat that works to infiltrate or gather intelligence on subversive/criminal elements.
The Collector: An anonymous agent of the Commissariat that is tasked with pulling off complicated kidnapping plots.
The Cleaner: An anonymous agent of the Commissariat that often handles the assassination of unauthorized persons that come into possession of forbidden knowledge.

Khalite Sector Forces

The Khalite Sector Forces are the main military institution of the Sulian Socialist Republic. It recruits, trains, equips, organizes, and utilizes KSF Soldiers and KSF Elite units to defend citizens, national assets, national territory, and to eliminate or pacify resistance, foreign opposition, and other threats to the SSRK. It often gets recruits from the KCA.

The KSF makes heavy use of clones, surgically/genetically altered persons, synthetic war machines, energy weapons, and conventional weapons.

The Khalite Sector Forces protect the borders and territories of the SSRK by performing active patrols in search of Anti-Citizens, Outsiders, and Exogens. KSF forces are equipped to handle situations that the KCA is not, such as full-scale insurrection, rebellion, terrorist activities, and foreign incursions.

KSF Divisions (some shared with KCA):

>Basic Divisions

Helix: The medical division, specializes in the same duties as the Union division yet also delivers medical attention.

>Advanced Divisions

Grid: The technical division, specialize in fixing things and keeping everything running smoothly.

Razor: The anti-rebel division, specializes in fighting anti-citizens.

Nova: The raiding division, specializes in raids.

Sword: The battle division, specialize in fighting foreign forces.

>Special Divisions

Stalker: The assassin division, specializes in silently assassinating threats to the Glorious State.

Phantom: The sniping division, specializing in the same task as Stalker, with greater emphasis on acquiring and eliminating targets from extremely long range.

Khalite Civil Authority

The Khalite Civil Authority is the main policing institution of the Sulian Socialist Republic. It recruits, trains, equips, organizes, and utilizes Civil Protection Metro-Police units to observe the socio-and-polistability of a City or Outland Zones. The KCA's Metro-Police units are the government agents that interact with Citizens on a day-to-day basis. The KCA is the authority that pursues, arrests, transports, incarcerates, punishes, and rehabilitates Anti-Citizens.

Civil Protection forces are generally much healthier and fitter than the average civilian, due mainly to the far superior diet granted to them. Compounding the benefits they enjoy is the fact that they live entirely separate from the regular civil populace, dwelling either in Citadel bases, Nexus bases, or occasionally separate apartment wings that are higher in quality than even the dwellings of the Civil Workers' Union, whose dwellings are also separated. Training, however, is brutal, with demanding physical labor and hours of memorization for procedures, and codes.

The best Civil Protection officers are inducted into the Overwatch, the heavy Glorious State policing unit most capable of handling situations that require higher levels of organization, precision, and brute force.

KCA Divisions (some shared with KSF):
>Basic Divisions

Union: The most basic division, they usually just patrol the streets and keep civil order within a city.

Judge: The torturing division, specializes in torturing, interrogating, and executing.

Helix: The medical division, specializes in the same duties as the Union division yet also delivers medical attention.

>Advanced Divisions

Grid: The technical division, specialize in fixing things and keeping everything running smoothly.

Apex: The stealth division, acts stealthily to investigate anti-citizens.

Nova: The raiding division, specializes in raids.

Civil Workers Union

The Civil Workers Union is the centralized labor institution in the direct employ of the Sulian Socialist Republic's DDK. In order to work and acquire a paying job in the SSRK, you must be a card-carrying member of the Civil Workers Union. Without accreditation from the Civil Workers Union, you cannot legally receive paychecks or stipends of any sort. Labor and Payment without Union and Identification is illegal. Acquiring proper accreditation to join the Civil Workers Union requires unpaid community service. During this period of community service, you receive probationary union status, and upon command, you perform jobs such as janitorial sanitation, environmental beautification, litter collection, recycling collection, KCA-supervised ration distribution, and paid internships in various fields of social services.

It may be considered somewhat tedious, but becoming a certified member of the Civil Workers Union is the key to future economic success for any individual in the Sulian Socialist Republic.

EASTER EGGS! :3

Words of Paixao (Pax), edited for contiguous sequence

Kharul: I suppose the comparison that Van drew between Khalite and the Borg come from the increasing prevalence of emotionless brutality/cruelty and cold logic in the former. 15:13
Kharul: In Star Trek, Borg wanted to assimilate every species. 15:15
Kharul: All unique people/technology absorbed into Borg. 15:16

Kharul: Pax: What do you think of the comparison of Khalite to Borg? 15:21
Pax: Accurate in places, innacurate in others 15:22
Kharul: Care to enlighten, oh smart Pax? :3 15:23
Pax: The Khalite is the very definition of "resistence is futile" - or at least it tries to be 15:24
Pax: uncompromising and just ridiculous 15:24
Pax: it's like loan sharks. They don't just go "that's ok pay tomorrow". They f*cking break your leg and your arm and your jaw because you were 2 hours late on your pay. 15:25
Pax: but they don't try and assimilate really 15:26
Pax: so long as you don't interfere with whatever the Khalite is being anal about on that partiuclar day you're ok 15:27
Pax: they go about their nerfarious business

Words of Felk! Non-edited.
Kharul: The social situation in Khalite is evening out, as well, in terms of the subspecies. 2:50
Stern: Yeah, I suppose it is... 2:58
Kharul: What are your thoughts? 2:59
Stern: Well, I think that it is strange how similar Sternreicher and Khalite culture is, for one. On this subject, I find it intriguing. 3:01
Felke: I find it mildly disturbing. 3:02
Kharul: In what way? 3:02
Felke: Almost every way 3:02
Kharul: Examples? :I 3:03
Felke: Computer-people control the nation, super-competitive lizard people are the ruling fleshies, school systems are used to kidnap children for the military and experimental use, criminals have their minds erased and replaced, the environment is apparently a non-essential commodity, and basically everything else.

About this RMB post: region=the_coalition_of_governments/page=display_region_rmb?postid=7702907#p7702907
Felke: Eeyup. Anyway, how'd y'all like my post? 19:07
Glaed/Aelus: I havn't been paying attention to the RMB, but I shall read it 19:08
Felke: Ah, no worries. 19:08
Kharul: I liked it. 19:08
Kharul: Albeit I would not have handled the situation the same way. 19:08
Felke: I know you wouldn't, Tyler. 19:09

Fräser: UNPOSSIBRU 19:10
Felke: You would have f*cking kidnapped the natives, brain-stapled them into thinking they are citizens of Khalite, and taken over that b*tch
