The People's Republic of Jiuzhou is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Zhu Mei with an iron fist, and remarkable for its parental licensing program, frequent executions, and punitive income tax rates. The cynical, devout population of 2.388 billion Jiuzhouans are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, corrupt government prioritizes Law & Order, although Administration, Environment, and Defense are also considered important, while Welfare isn't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Rì chū. The average income tax rate is 74.9%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The strong Jiuzhouan economy, worth 135 trillion yuan a year, is highly specialized and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Beef-Based Agriculture, Cheese Exports, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 56,622 yuan, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Judicial torture is outsourced overseas, books are often used as kindling, government officials go door-to-door educating about the dangers of pseudoscience, and signatures have been replaced with illegible scribbles. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jiuzhou's national animal is the dragon, which is also the nation's favorite main course.
