The Republic of Jelekova is a gargantuan, efficient nation, ruled by President Vera Kovacs with an even hand, and notable for its complete lack of prisons, smutty television, and frequent executions. The hard-nosed, humorless population of 23.363 billion Jelekovans are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.

The enormous, corrupt, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Education, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kamarina. The average income tax rate is 98.1%.

The frighteningly efficient Jelekovan economy, worth a remarkable 5,165 trillion Kronor a year, is highly specialized and mostly comprised of black market activity, especially in Arms Manufacturing, Book Publishing, Uranium Mining, and Information Technology. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an amazing 221,095 Kronor, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Vacationing Jelekovans expect to be treated as royalty, attempts to inform people about their unclaimed property are often mistaken for telephone scams, the price of takeaway food quadruples after 6pm, and the nation has declared war on all passing comets. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jelekova's national animal is the Penguin, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to heavy metals seepage into national waterways, and its national religion is Mos Maiorum.

Jelekova is ranked 237,865th in the world and 734th in Europeia for Fattest Citizens, with 1.41 Obesity Rate.
