The Imperial Domains of Iyum is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Emperor Yermaz with a fair hand, and remarkable for its compulsory military service. The compassionate, democratic population of 7.867 billion Iyumians are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The large, liberal, outspoken government is primarily concerned with Healthcare, although Education, Welfare, and Environment are also considered important, while Industry isn't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ro'an. The average income tax rate is 49.6%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient Iyumian economy, worth 273 trillion Denas a year, is quite specialized and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Pizza Delivery, and Furniture Restoration. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 34,781 Denas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Adverts proclaim it has to be healthy if the Mornay uses hand-grated Gallopavian Gruyère, politicians always seem to take two steps forward then three steps back, the nation faces constant invasions by foreign boy bands, and the government is spending billions of Denas on helping citizens find spiritual enlightenment. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Iyum's national animal is the Dragon, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.
