The The Constitutional Monarchy of Ignis Aequitatis commonly called Ignis Aequitatis, is a Constitutional Monarchy. Ignis Aequitatis covers 80,000 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 6 Million. Ignis Aequitatis comprises of 15 divisionaries.

Ignis Aequitatis is a relatively new nation, previously held under rule of a Religious Tyranny named the Order of the Divine Flame. The Order ruled the land for an unknown amount of years, only assumed to be as long as 200 years, but claimed by the Order to be of over 3000. After a long-drawn war, officially beginning in Winter of 1930, and officially ending in the Winter of 1958, the Rebel Leader, Aetherius Resurgere, took king-ship by vote. The remaining peoples consolidated in the Capital, Phino, and have since been rebuilding the lands majoritively as a collective.

Ignis Aequitatis has been reborn and works for the collective of the people. It ranks low in Wealth Inequality whilst high on Civil Rights and Political Freedom. However, after instability in the returning economical standard, Ignis Aequitatis has seen falls in Economical Freedom.

Etymology

Ignis Aequitatis has been translated from Latin to mean fire reborn. This name took from the Order of the Divine Flame, first coined by King Resurgere, with the belief that, Quote, "The Order's fall allows for the nation to be reborn from their ashes."

The standard way to refer to a citizen of Ignis Aequitatis is as a "Ignis Aequitatisian."

History

Ignis Aequitatis was previously ruled by a Religious Fanatical Cult named the Order of the Divine Flame, held under the rulership of a self-proclaimed King, the Speaker of the Gods (True name unknown) for an unknown amount of years, due to lack of written history other than that handed out by the High Priests, which has been now proclaimed as fictional. Their rule lasted for anywhere between 200 to over 3000 years. The Order of the Divine Flame split the nation into 15 zones, each ran by a High Priest. During this period, with the history that those currently alive have compiled, Civil and Economical rights were almost naught, and the people were forced into submission through fear of the wrath of the Gods, or more extreme punishment by the High Priests themselves.

Over the course of the past 100 years, Rebellious Groups began standing up against the religious order, especially in the new generation of young men who disagreed with the beliefs pushed on then from birth by the High Priests. Groups began to form across the 15 divisions, with the main group forming in the Capital, previously named BlodOfe. For years, small attacks were made against The Order's churches with treasuries ransacked, and posters placed around the nation proclaiming against the High Priests. Support gathered for the rebels and soon there was fighting in the streets, and in the homes of the people. The war officially began in 1930, when during the dark winter hours a large force of non-believers collected outside the Chapel of The Gods, the main worship site for the Order, where a group broke in and ended the lives of a collective of Priests. A war between those who believed, and those who did not began, and continued for over 20 years. Toward the last 10 years of the war, support for the Order fell heavily as the older generation was lost to the cause and belief in any wrath of any Gods, as the Priests had previously proclaimed, waned. After a long and gruelling war, the Rebels lead by, the now King, Aetheris Resurgere, managed to overthrow the tyranny by slaying the Speaker of the Gods, the top Priest, in the Chapel of the Gods, ending the war in the same Chapel as where it had began.

King Resurgere was worshipped onto his seat in the throne of Ignis Aequitatis, and the first decree he made was a Law, that no man may be treated lesser than another, and each citizen must be treated as equals, rejecting the worship and proclaiming the people must unanimously place him in his seat, which they did almost immediately. King Resurgere first took the former 15 zones of each High Priest's control and held an immediate open vote in each for a representative, forming the Senatus Magnatum. The Senate first voted on a Keeper of the Accord and a high council, before declaring the new state of Ignis Aequitatis on the third day after victory.

With the realm in much disarray after the long-drawn war, the remaining citizens consolidated in the New Capital of Phino, a city built into the mountainous eastern region, with a small port in a cove on the coast below. Religion has been almost totally outlawed by the people in fear of a resurgence of the Order of the Divine Flame. The people's now herald themselves as those born from a Phoenix, rising from the ashes of a tyrannical past.

Geography

The Geography of Ignis Aequitatis is that of mountainous region. High peaks scatter across the land, and the nation rests on a partial island, a land bridge connecting to the mainland once every 30 years on the change of tides. Small coves dot across the coast, which is in lack of beaches due to high cliffs that lean over the waters edge. Nearly each section of flatland features the nations settlements.

The Climate is cold, often averaging at a day time temperature of 5-10 Degrees Celsius. During the peak of summer, the temperature reaches as high as 35 degrees, and in the peak of winter temperatures can reach as low as -10 degrees.

The land features 80,000 km² and the seas claim 20,000 km². Ignis Aequitatis has a high peak of 4000 Feet on a mountain named "The God's Tongue", and a low point of -20 Feet resting in the cove below the Capital City where fallen cliffs have created a sea-wall.

Population
Ignis Aequitatis has a remaining population of an estimated 6 Million, from a previously stated 95 Million before the war for independence.

Language
The main language is English, with remnants of Latin. Only 0.5% of the population speak Latin, yet many features such as Names and Cities take from Latin as opposed to English.

Religion

Religion has been all but outlawed, yet has not been made illegal. No person has been documented to follow a religion since the Order of the Divine Flame, and belief in the previous range of Gods has been all but eliminated.

Race
The race of Ignis Aequitatis is mainly that of Humans with elf-like features. Pointed ears and high stature are common among the populace.

Government

The Nation is lead by a Constitutional Monarchy. At the Head of the Nation is the King. Below this, the leader of the people, is the Senatus Magnatum, the High Senate of the Government. The Head of the Senatus Magnatum is the Keeper of the Accord, with the Voice of the Chosen leading the speaking in both the Senatus Magnatum and the Aula Populi. Following this, is the Warden of the Realm, heading the justice system of the nation.

The Senatus Magnatum holds all 15 voted members of each division of the nation. Below this is the Aula Populi, the chamber of the people. Citizens from around the nation representing bodies of interest such as education, healthcare, trade (etc) make their voices heard and hold votes to be passed to the Senatus Magnatum for final decisions and implementation.

Foreign Relations and Military

Ignis Aequitatis has only recently dropped it's barrier of flames and opened itself up to the surrounding world. The King has entered the World Assembly and taken note of the surrounding conflicts, but is yet to make friend nor enemy.

The Senatus Magnatum has recently started funding into a trained militia, allowing volunteers to train whilst research has begun on defences and weaponry to protect Ignis Aequitatis against a potentially further tyrannical surrounding world that the Peoples do not wish to enter back in to.

Economy

Currently Ignis Aequitatis' main workforce resides in insurance, with some Uranium Mining from the mountains, and soda sales representing the other portions of the economical power. Unemployment sits high at 33% with most citizens wishing to enjoy their newfound freedom, yet those who work earn a fair per-capita balance of wages. The gap between the rich and poor is low, allowing economical freedom.

Culture

Ignis Aequitatis is home to a mainly liberal culture. The people of Ignis Aequitatis have been described as lazy by tourists, with a high recreational drug use, yet the people claim they are enjoying freedom. The people are strong believers in equality, and the right to a good education.

Infrastructure

With the main populace residing in the Capital City, there is little to no publicly available transport. With a rocky geographical state, the easiest way of access is by horse or hike. Mining is a key industry across the region.

Energy
Over 75% of the Nations energy comes from Nuclear power, from Uranium found within the mountainous region. Other forms of energy come from coal, or gas deposits found beneath the mines.
