The Republic of Gyrosphere is a colossal, safe nation, remarkable for its zero percent divorce rate, suspicion of poets, and stringent health and safety legislation. The devout population of 5.868 billion Gyrosphereans are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Administration. The average income tax rate is 39.9%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient Gyrospherean economy, worth 195 trillion francs a year, is quite specialized and led by the Book Publishing industry, with major contributions from Furniture Restoration, Arms Manufacturing, and Trout Farming. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 33,255 francs, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The upper class have been throwing riots after hunting was recently banned, TV shows must meet strict ethnicity quotas, barbed wire entanglements and guard towers surround the Gyrosphere City Natural History Museum, and the government keeps introducing new foreign species to combat the previous ones it has introduced. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Gyrosphere's national animal is the falcon, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Gyrosphere is ranked 122,907th in the world and 3,098th in Balder for Largest Cheese Export Sector, scoring 1,667.19 on the Mozzarella Productivity Index.
