The Commonwealth of Greater Icelandia is a huge, genial nation, renowned for its otherworldly petting zoo, free-roaming dinosaurs, and pith helmet sales. The compassionate, democratic population of 205 million Scandinavians are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The relatively small, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Education, Welfare, and Administration. The average income tax rate is 28.3%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The very strong Greater Icelandian economy, worth 16.5 trillion Krónas a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Trout Farming, Tourism, and Basket Weaving. Black market activity is notable. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 80,305 Krónas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Signatures have been replaced with illegible scribbles, religious organizations are being forced to leave the country or pay income taxes like everybody else, advertisements for jobs in the sciences run in fashion magazines, and the law says it's okay to sell a bomb to a terrorist so long as they promise not to detonate it. Crime is totally unknown. Greater Icelandia's national animal is the Bottlenose Dolphin, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans.
