The Holy Empire of GP-Germany is a massive, orderly nation, renowned for its national health service, state-planned economy, and enslaved workforce. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 3.885 billion GP-Germanyians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Law & Order, and Environment. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Berlin. The average income tax rate is 91.8%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient GP-Germanyian economy, worth 556 trillion Terra Silvers a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, quite specialized black market in Tourism, Arms Manufacturing, Book Publishing, and Cheese Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 143,167 Terra Silvers, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.6 times as much as the poorest.

Children as young as eight can present logical proofs for the existence of the afterlife, the endangered saltwater humpback Golden Eagle is only seen in captivity programs, the countryside is shrouded by wind farms, and the mood of raunchy movies is often ruined by the sound of babies crying. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. GP-Germany's national animal is the Golden Eagle, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is Greenism.
