The People's Socialist Republic of East Deslang is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by Friedrich with an iron fist, and remarkable for its compulsory vegetarianism, restrictive gun laws, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 1.534 billion East Deslangians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government prioritizes Defense, with Law & Order, Education, and Administration also on the agenda, while Welfare is ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Belotsarsk. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 91.1%.

The frighteningly efficient East Deslangian economy, worth 403 trillion ED-Marks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. East Deslang's national animal is the White Tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Divine Imperial Cult.
