The Queendom of Dolorado is a very large, efficient nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, public floggings, and suspicion of poets. The hard-working, democratic population of 159 million Doloradoans are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The medium-sized, pro-business, outspoken government prioritizes Defense, with Education, Industry, and Welfare also on the agenda, while Environment and International Aid are ignored. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 13.7%.

The very strong Doloradoan economy, worth 6.54 trillion rupees a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Trout Farming, Gambling, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. Average income is 41,101 rupees, but there is an enormous disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 257,102 per year while the poor average 2,791, a ratio of 92.1 to 1.

Access to the woods is only granted to those who bring a small shrubbery, 4-year-olds are often found reminiscing about the 'good old days', a ban on robots in disguise has transformed the entertainment industry, and the Man in the Plastic Mask has been imprisoned in the Capital Penitentiary. Crime, especially youth-related, is a major problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Dolorado's national animal is the falcon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution.
