The Hanafite Khaganate of Depkazia is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Chingiz Khagan Depkazi with an iron fist, and notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants, multi-spousal wedding ceremonies, and compulsory military service. The cynical population of 41.468 billion Depkazians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Aqtóbe. The average income tax rate is 67.7%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The enormous but inefficient Depkazian economy, worth a remarkable 1,369 trillion choums a year, is quite specialized and led by the Uranium Mining industry, with major contributions from Woodchip Exports, Book Publishing, and Information Technology. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 33,022 choums, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.1 times as much as the poorest.

Scenic mountain valleys are flooded with water as damming projects get underway, protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, scientists recently cloned the long-extinct feather-bellied hippopotamus praedicticus, and Chingiz Khagan Depkazi has just been declared ruler of Depkazia in an international press conference. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Depkazia's national animal is the hippopotamus praedicticus, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is an obscure Hanafite sect.
