The People's Communist Republic of Dandeleria is a colossal, orderly nation, ruled by Colonel Álvaro Ramírez with an iron fist, and renowned for its compulsory military service, frequent executions, and complete lack of public education. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 9.418 billion Dandelerians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Spirituality, and Environment. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Norakocha. The income tax rate is 100%.

The large but stagnant Dandelerian economy, worth 464 trillion narlas a year, is driven almost entirely by government activity, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, extremely specialized black market in Basket Weaving and Furniture Restoration. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. State-owned companies are the norm. Average income is 49,372 narlas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Children have only the most basic of education, euthanasia is illegal, sending sick politicians "Get Well Soon" cards is considered bribery, and the nation's historic treasures have been sold off to Maxtopia's "Museum of Dandelerian Artifacts That They're Too Stupid to Appreciate". Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Dandeleria's national animal is the ebola virus, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Cult of DEAREST LEADER.

Dandeleria is ranked 222,195th in the world and 131st in Psychotic Dictatorships for Largest Information Technology Sector, scoring -72.38 on the Fann-Boi Productivity Index.
