The Matriarchy of Crystal Coven is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by High Priestess Rizdione with an iron fist, and renowned for its enslaved workforce, free-roaming dinosaurs, and compulsory gun ownership. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, devout population of 4.413 billion Crystal Covenians are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

The tiny, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Spirituality, and Industry. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Tír Maighdean. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4.5%.

The frighteningly efficient Crystal Covenian economy, worth 539 trillion gems a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Retail industry, with significant contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Soda Sales, and Gambling. Black market activity is notable. Crime, especially youth-related, is all-pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Crystal Coven's national animal is the hydra, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to heavy metals seepage into national waterways, and its national religion is Amarantha's Teachings.
