The Kingdom of Collony is a colossal, efficient nation, ruled by Dom Pedro II with an iron fist, and renowned for its prohibition of alcohol, anti-smoking policies, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 8.607 billion Collonyians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Defense, with Education, Administration, and Industry also on the agenda, while Spirituality and International Aid aren't funded at all. There's a bright dawn ahead for Collony, grazing lands are filled with cattle wearing odd-looking anti-pollution devices, laser-wielding robots are taking aim at human hearts, and children are encouraged to fail at school so as not to appear too enlightened. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, despite the fact that it is difficult to make it through a day without breaking one of the country's many laws. Collony's national animal is the panther, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.
