The Republic of Code-G is a massive, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. The compassionate, democratic population of 2.092 billion Code-Gians are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.
The relatively small, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 20.1%, but much higher for the wealthy.
The sizeable but inefficient Code-Gian economy, worth 87.9 trillion lire a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Door-to-door Insurance Sales, Trout Farming, and Beef-Based Agriculture. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 42,007 lire, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.
International terrorists often get their weapons supply in Code-G, the price of takeaway food quadruples after 6pm, the government has declined to declare any particular religion as its 'official' one, and even the most lowly council pen-pusher has the same political power as a senior minister. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Code-G's national animal is the gumeni, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.
Code-G is ranked 129,220th in the world and 72nd in Force for Most Subsidized Industry, scoring 540.27 on the Gilded Widget Scale.
