The District of Calgary is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, notable for its complete lack of public education, absence of drug laws, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 26.511 billion Calgarians live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

The government is avowedly atheist, the streets are increasingly clogged with poverty-stricken beggars, Calgary's children are widely acknowledged as the most foul-mouthed in the region, and corporations donate huge sums of money to favored politicians. Crime is a major problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. Calgary's national animal is the deer.
