The Kingdom of Bagong Luzon is a colossal, orderly nation, ruled by King Ferdinand II with an iron fist, and remarkable for its sprawling nuclear power plants, ubiquitous missile silos, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless, devout population of 9.603 billion New Filipinos are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The relatively small, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Manila. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 11.9%.

The frighteningly efficient Filipino economy, worth a remarkable 3,563 trillion Pesos a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Retail. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Bagong Luzon's national animal is the Carabao, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is Roman Catholicism.
