The Kingdom of Azoran is a very large, socially progressive nation, notable for its compulsory military service and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 181 million Azoranians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The tiny government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Education, and Welfare. The average income tax rate is 8.8%.

The strong Azoranian economy, worth 11.6 trillion Azoths a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Basket Weaving, and Book Publishing. Average income is 64,139 Azoths, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 4.7 times as much as the poorest.

Baby dolls thrown in the trash are a leading cause of panic attacks, eagles are considered a delicacy, the populace has developed a mortal fear of the woods, and a common response to government PSAs is "well, DUH, obviously". Crime, especially youth-related, is relatively low. Azoran's national animal is the eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Azoran is ranked 98,357th in the world and 9th in Coalition for Collective Cooperation for Most Developed, scoring 57.03 on the Human Development Index.
