The Star Empire of Amakul is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Praetor Kyr'am with an iron fist, and notable for its pith helmet sales, state-planned economy, and infamous sell-swords. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 10.422 billion Amakulians are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The large, corrupt, well-organized government prioritizes Defense, although Education, Law & Order, and Administration are also considered important, while International Aid and Spirituality aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kelldraxe. The average income tax rate is 91.6%.

The powerhouse Amakulian economy, worth a remarkable 1,610 trillion ECS a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, quite specialized black market in Information Technology and Arms Manufacturing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 154,551 ECS, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.9 times as much as the poorest.

Several citizens have complained about scientists abducting their pets for experimentation, a vast monorail network carries people all over the country, parents who refuse to vaccinate their children are given a short jail sentence, and the nation's industries are scrambling to switch to biodegradable plastics. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Amakul's national animal is the Vexargre, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Slaaneshi.

Amakul is ranked 10,586th in the world and 344th in the South Pacific for Most Advanced Public Education, scoring 10,537.46 on the Edu-tellignce® Test Score.
