The Republic of Alfama is a massive, genial nation, ruled by Mr Notacat with a fair hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls, keen interest in outer space, and absence of drug laws. Alfama's national animal is the cat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
