The Kingdom of Ajakor is a huge, efficient nation, ruled by High King Svenn Greyfø with a fair hand, and remarkable for its digital currency, pith helmet sales, and compulsory military service. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, devout population of 937 million Ajakorians are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The relatively small, corrupt, pro-business, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Defense, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Yagustauch. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 10.8%.

The frighteningly efficient Ajakorian economy, worth 147 trillion Septims a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Retail. Black market activity is notable. Average income is an impressive 157,280 Septims, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 746,244 per year while the poor average 19,562, a ratio of 38.1 to 1.

The voyages of obsolete star-trekking satellites on deliberate escape orbits are only just beginning, artists are pillars of society, kitchen patrol is dominated by ten-year-old runts, and children asking questions about science are referred to relevant sections in religious texts. Crime is pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Ajakor's national animal is the Bjørn, which is also the nation's favorite main course.
