The Legislative Branch of African Congress is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Mombombu with a fair hand, and renowned for its state-planned economy, restrictive gun laws, and stringent health and safety legislation. The democratic population of 5.173 billion Africans are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The medium-sized, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Malï. The average income tax rate is 30.6%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but sluggish African economy, worth 119 trillion african rand a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, quite specialized black market in Tourism, Trout Farming, Information Technology, and Beef-Based Agriculture. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 23,006 african rand, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Students are wary of colorfully decorated new teachers with names like Professor Pipsqueak, African Congress has designated Malï as its capital city, Mombombu has just been declared ruler of African Congress in an international press conference, and the government has declined to declare any particular religion as its 'official' one. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. African Congress's national animal is the african hawk eagle.
