Launched nukes take 3-5 minutes to reach their target. They can be shot down in-flight by any nation by manually deploying Shield or by the Faction Shieldbank.

If they reach their target, they generate Radiation, which slows the rate of future Production. A 100% irradiated nation is destroyed along with all its resources.
